- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced

- Zest of ½ lemon (optional)
- 1 tsp balsamic glaze (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim asparagus and pat dry.
- Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle parmesan evenly over asparagus.
- Roast 12–15 minutes until tips are golden and stalks tender.
- Optional: add lemon zest or balsamic glaze before serving.
Notes
Use fresh, firm asparagus for best results. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even roasting. Freshly grated parmesan crisps better than pre-shredded. Make ahead by tossing with oil and garlic; add parmesan right before roasting.
