Description

My Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies are a family favorite, perfectly soft and packed with semi-sweet chocolate chips. This easy-to-follow recipe brings warmth, comfort, and joy to any kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (350g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Mix dry ingredients together and fold into wet mixture.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto tray, 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  8. Cool 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

  • Use softened butter for perfect texture.
  • Chill dough for chewier cookies.
  • Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze dough for up to 3 months.
