- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (350g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients together and fold into wet mixture.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto tray, 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Cool 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
- Use softened butter for perfect texture.
- Chill dough for chewier cookies.
- Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Freeze dough for up to 3 months.
