- 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl and mix in melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in optional walnuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake 55–65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor. Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread soft. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Freeze slices for up to 2 months for later enjoyment.
