- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup (90 g) rainbow sprinkles, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
- Stir in 1/2 cup sprinkles.
- Drop dough by tablespoonful onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Press extra sprinkles on top of each cookie.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
- Use softened butter, not melted.
- Room temperature eggs help with smooth mixing.
- Don’t overmix flour for soft cookies.
- Freeze dough balls for future baking.
