  • ½ cup plain yogurt or buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds, plus extra for topping
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs, almond extract, and vanilla extract.
  5. Alternately fold in dry ingredients and yogurt.
  6. Gently fold in strawberries and ¼ cup almonds.
