Description

Soft, buttery layers soaked in sweet strawberry syrup, topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. The Strawberry Heaven-on-Earth Sheet Cake is perfect for family gatherings, cozy afternoons, or special celebrations, creating memories with every delicious bite.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh strawberries, halved or sliced
  • Optional: mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into pan and bake 30–35 mins. Cool completely.
  5. Prepare strawberry syrup by simmering strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cool.
  6. Poke holes in cake and pour syrup over.
  7. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over cake.
  8. Decorate with fresh strawberries and mint.

Notes

Add a spoonful of sour cream to the batter for extra moistness. Macerate strawberries for richer flavor. Whip cream in a chilled bowl to hold peaks. Assemble just before serving for best freshness.
