- 1 (3 oz) package strawberry gelatin (Jello)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- Optional: extra strawberries or sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven and bake cake as directed. Cool 10 min.
- Dissolve strawberry jello in boiling water.
- Poke cake holes with a fork.
- Pour jello over cake, spreading evenly.
- Refrigerate 2 hrs or until set.
- Spread whipped topping over cake.
- Sprinkle with fresh strawberries. Serve chilled.
Notes
Make sure the cake is warm, not hot, for jello infusion. Use a fork for perfect holes. Can make ahead; add whipped cream just before serving.
