Description

This Sweet Cinnamon French Toast is a cozy breakfast favorite. Thick slices of brioche or challah are soaked in a cinnamon-vanilla egg mixture and fried to golden perfection. Serve with syrup and fresh fruits for a comforting start to your day.


Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices of brioche or challah bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Maple syrup or honey, for serving
  • Fresh berries or sliced bananas, optional

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a shallow bowl.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Dip bread slices in egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
  4. Cook bread slices 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  5. Repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.
  6. Serve with syrup, fruits, or powdered sugar.

Notes

Use slightly stale bread for best results. Don’t rush soaking – 20–30 seconds per side is perfect. Reheat leftover slices in a skillet or toaster to retain crispness.
