Description

Indulge in fudgy White Chocolate Matcha Brownies with a hint of earthy matcha and creamy white chocolate. Perfect for cozy afternoons and gatherings, this recipe is easy to follow and full of warmth and flavor.


Ingredients

  • 200g white chocolate, chopped
  • 150g unsalted butter, cubed
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 125g plain flour
  • 2 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: 50g white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan) and line a 20x20cm tin with parchment.
  2. Melt white chocolate and butter together gently over simmering water.
  3. Whisk in sugar until glossy, then add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  4. Sift flour, matcha, and salt together and fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in optional white chocolate chunks, pour batter into the tin, and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Use high-quality white chocolate for best flavor. Sifting matcha prevents clumps. Store in airtight container; freezes well.
