Description

This creamy Chicken Pesto Pasta is a comforting, flavorful dish made with tender chicken, fresh basil pesto, and perfectly cooked pasta. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 100ml cooking cream
  • 30g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Handful of cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil and cook pasta until al dente.
  2. Season chicken and cook in olive oil until golden and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken and sauté garlic in the same pan.
  4. Add pesto and cream, stirring gently.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and mix well.
  6. Add cooked pasta and a splash of pasta water.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  8. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and basil, then serve.

Notes

Use fresh pesto for the best flavor. You can substitute cream with milk for a lighter version. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
