Description

Classic Focaccia Bread is a soft, airy, golden Italian-style bread made with olive oil, yeast, and simple pantry ingredients. This homemade version delivers a crisp crust and fluffy interior perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g strong white bread flour
  • 10g salt
  • 7g instant dry yeast
  • 400ml warm water
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast until foamy.
  2. Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add yeast mixture and olive oil.
  4. Knead until smooth dough forms.
  5. Let dough rise until doubled in size.
  6. Transfer to oiled baking tray.
  7. Stretch dough gently to fit tray.
  8. Let rest again for 30–40 minutes.
  9. Press dimples into dough.
  10. Drizzle olive oil and add toppings.
  11. Bake at 200°C for 25 minutes.
  12. Cool slightly and serve.

Notes
