1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Boil cubed sweet potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender.
Drain the potatoes thoroughly and mash them in a large bowl until smooth.
Stir half of the melted butter and all of the ground cinnamon into the mashed potatoes.
Spread the potato mixture evenly into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, remaining melted butter, and chopped pecans to form the topping.
Sprinkle the pecan mixture evenly over the sweet potato base.
Bake for 45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and bubbling.
Notes
Ensure potatoes are well-drained to avoid a watery casserole.
You can add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
