Description

These individual-sized lasagna roll ups are the perfect solution for busy weeknights. By rolling the noodles individually, we create a visually appealing, perfectly portioned meal that features al dente pasta and a rich, herb-infused ricotta cheese filling. This simplified method eliminates the messy layering process of traditional lasagna while delivering all the authentic, comforting flavors you love. It is efficient, elegant, and ideal for both family dinners and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

1012 lasagna noodle sheets
15 oz ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
0.5 cup parmesan cheese, grated
24 oz marinara sauce
1 large egg
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and lay flat on parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half the mozzarella, parmesan, the egg, parsley, and Italian seasoning.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
Spread a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto each cooked noodle, roll them up tightly, and place seam-side down in the dish.
Top the rolls with the remaining marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Notes

Ensure you do not overcook the noodles as they will continue to firm up in the oven. You can add cooked chopped spinach to the ricotta mixture for an extra nutrient boost. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
