Ingredients
1 lb Ground Chicken
1 head Iceberg or Butter Lettuce
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Fresh Ginger, minced
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1/2 cup Water Chestnuts, diced
3 stalks Green Onions, sliced
1 tbsp Neutral Cooking Oil
Instructions
Carefully peel lettuce leaves, rinse under cold water, and pat completely dry.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat with one tablespoon of neutral oil.
Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully browned and no pink remains.
Stir in the minced ginger and garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the diced water chestnuts, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the pan.
Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the chicken to absorb the sauce.
Remove from heat and serve the mixture into the prepared lettuce cups.
Top with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
Ensure the lettuce is completely dry to maintain crunch. You can use ground turkey as a substitute for chicken. For a gluten-free version, use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
