Description

Featuring succulent, caramelized fresh peaches nestled under a golden, buttery, and tender biscuit crust, this dessert is the ultimate comfort food. The natural juices of the stone fruit create a perfect syrupy base that pairs beautifully with the crisp topping. Easy to assemble and impossible to resist, this cobbler delivers a delightful balance of sweetness and warmth in every spoonful.
Ingredients
6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 tsp lemon juice
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1 cup heavy cream
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
0.5 tsp salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl and stir well.
Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish in an even layer.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add the heavy cream to the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough evenly over the peach filling.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
Notes
Ensure your butter is very cold to achieve the flakiest biscuit crust. If using frozen peaches, make sure they are completely thawed and drained of excess water before mixing to avoid a soggy cobbler. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
