Description

I bake this Honey Spice Cake as a warm, comforting dessert filled with honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and soft buttery richness. It is moist, fragrant, and perfect for cozy family moments or tea time gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C and grease cake pan.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in honey and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine dry ingredients separately.
  6. Alternate adding dry mix and milk into wet mixture.
  7. Pour batter into pan evenly.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  9. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Warm the honey slightly before mixing for smoother texture. Add chopped nuts or raisins for variation. Store in airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze slices for up to 2 months.
