This Strawberry Crumble features juicy sweet strawberries baked beneath a buttery golden oat topping. I love serving this cozy homemade dessert warm with vanilla ice cream for the perfect comforting treat that everyone always requests again and again.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  3. Spread the strawberry filling evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Pour melted butter into the dry ingredients and stir until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the strawberries.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the topping turns golden and the filling bubbles.
  8. Allow the crumble to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries if fresh berries are unavailable. Add blueberries or raspberries for extra flavor variation. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and reheat in the oven for the crispiest topping.
