This Strawberry Mousse Recipe creates a light, creamy, and refreshing dessert packed with fresh strawberry flavor.   • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries.
  2. Add strawberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract to a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat the gelatin briefly until fully dissolved.
  5. Stir the dissolved gelatin into the strawberry puree.
  6. In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream.
  8. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Top with fresh strawberries or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the sweetest flavor and best natural color. Chill the bowl before whipping cream for extra fluffy texture. Fold gently to keep the mousse airy. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Fresh raspberries or blueberries also make lovely toppings.
