Simple Goat Cheese Salad is a fresh, elegant, and easy-to-make salad combining creamy goat cheese, crisp greens, toasted walnuts, sweet fruit, and a light honey balsamic dressing. It’s perfect for a quick lunch, starter, or healthy side dish that feels both comforting and gourmet.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups mixed salad greens
  • 120g goat cheese log, sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted
  • 1 pear, sliced
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry salad greens thoroughly.
  2. Toast walnuts in a dry pan for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Slice goat cheese and set aside.
  4. Whisk olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, mustard, salt, and pepper to make dressing.
  5. Arrange greens in a large bowl.
  6. Add pear slices, cranberries, and walnuts.
  7. Top with goat cheese slices.
  8. Drizzle dressing and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve fresh for best texture. You can substitute pear with apple or figs. Add grilled chicken for a more filling meal. Store dressing separately if preparing ahead.
