Description

This Lemon Garlic Pasta is a bright, comforting, and easy homemade dish made with fresh lemon, garlic, parmesan, and olive oil. I created this recipe for busy days when I want something quick yet deeply satisfying. It’s light, zesty, and full of cozy flavor, perfect for family dinners or simple solo meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g spaghetti or linguine
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large lemon (zest and juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup pasta water
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté garlic gently.
  3. Add chili flakes and lemon zest.
  4. Reserve pasta water and drain pasta.
  5. Add pasta to pan with butter and lemon juice.
  6. Pour in pasta water and toss until silky.
  7. Add parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  8. Finish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Always use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor. Save pasta water to create a silky sauce. You can add spinach, shrimp, or grilled chicken if desired. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat gently with a splash of water or olive oil.
