Description

These Mini Quiche Lorraine are buttery, creamy, and packed with crispy bacon and melted Gruyère cheese. Perfect for brunch, parties, or make-ahead meals, they deliver classic French flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet shortcrust pastry
  • 150g smoked bacon, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 50ml whole milk
  • 100g Gruyère cheese, grated
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out pastry and cut circles to fit muffin tin.
  3. Press pastry into each muffin cup.
  4. Cook bacon until crispy, then add onion and soften.
  5. Whisk eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. Add cheese and bacon mixture into pastry shells.
  7. Pour egg mixture evenly into each shell.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and set.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use Gruyère for authentic flavor. You can substitute with cheddar if needed. Store in fridge up to 3 days or freeze for later. Reheat in oven for best texture.
