- 80ml pasta water
- 50g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Reserve pasta water and drain pasta.
- Transfer pasta into the pan with sauce.
- Add pasta water and toss well.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh lemons for best flavor. Always save pasta water for a silky sauce. Add grilled chicken or shrimp for protein. Best served immediately while creamy and warm. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat with a splash of water or olive oil.
