Description

This quick pesto pasta is a fresh, vibrant, and comforting dish made with basil, garlic, Parmesan, and olive oil. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g pasta
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.
  2. Blend basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan in a food processor.
  3. Slowly add olive oil while blending until smooth.
  4. Reserve some pasta water, then drain pasta.
  5. Toss pasta with pesto and a splash of pasta water.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh basil for the best flavor. Toast pine nuts for extra richness. Add pasta water gradually to adjust consistency. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
