Description

A creamy no-churn dessert featuring ripe bananas, biscuits, and vanilla custard layers chilled to perfection. Gluten-free and vegan options available. Sümmery American classic with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

4 large bananas
12 Nilla wafers or gluten-free graham crackers
1 box (3.4 oz) vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups whole milk (or oat/almond milk)
2 tbsp unsalted butter or coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Whisk pudding mix, milk, and butter in a large bowl until fully combined. Let sit 2 minutes to thicken
Spoon half the pudding into a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Arrange banana slices in single layer over pudding
Add remaining pudding to cover bananas
Cover and refrigerate for 45 minutes
Cover with biscuits and drizzle melted butter
Chill 10 more minutes before slicing

Notes

Use brown-spotted bananas for maximum sweetness
Pudding thickens best at room temperature before layering
Coconut yogurt works well with dairy-free custard base
Top with cocoa powder or sliced bananas before serving
