Description

This Turkish Rice Pilaf is fluffy, buttery, and full of rich flavor. Toasted vermicelli adds a nutty depth, while perfectly cooked rice creates a comforting and elegant side dish that pairs beautifully with any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons vermicelli pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak for 15 minutes and drain.
  3. Melt butter with olive oil in a pan.
  4. Toast vermicelli until golden brown.
  5. Add rice and stir gently.
  6. Pour in broth and add salt.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Fluff with a fork and serve.

Notes

Rinse rice thoroughly for the best texture. Do not skip the resting time. Substitute vegetable broth for a vegetarian version. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
