- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons vermicelli pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
- Soak for 15 minutes and drain.
- Melt butter with olive oil in a pan.
- Toast vermicelli until golden brown.
- Add rice and stir gently.
- Pour in broth and add salt.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
- Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
Rinse rice thoroughly for the best texture. Do not skip the resting time. Substitute vegetable broth for a vegetarian version. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
